Yiannis Kotsiras was born in Athens and began his musical career in 1990 singing rebetika and laika. In 1996 he released his first album 'Innocent Guilty' and has since released a further 7 studio albums, 2 live albums, and various covers of classic songs. He also sang the official song of the 2004 Olympic Games 'Pass The Flame' which he performed live at the opening ceremony in Athens.
